Preorders for the 2027 Mitsubishi Pajero are now open in Thailand. The model will be offered in three distinct trim levels, all configured exclusively for the Thai market as seven-seaters, with first deliveries expected to begin in December 2023.

Trim-specific features and pricing

The 2027 Mitsubishi Pajero launches with a clear three-tier pricing and specification structure. The entry point is the GLS variant, followed by the mid-range GSR, with the Super Exceed serving as the flagship model.

Trim LevelPrice (THB)Price (approx. PHP)Drivetrain
GLS 2.4 8AT 4x21,499,0002.81 million4x2
GSR 2.4 8AT 4x21,699,0003.19 million4x2
Super Exceed 2.4 8AT 4x41,999,0003.75 million4x4

This positions the Thai-market Pajero competitively against mid- to full-size SUVs in neighboring markets like the Philippines. Its starting price is also similar to the model's entry point in Australia.

Safety and technology highlights

All three variants come with a comprehensive suite of standard safety and convenience features. This includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) with autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control (ACC), and front and rear cross-traffic alert. Basic lane functions, all-LED lighting, a power-folding tailgate, acoustic glass, and seven airbags are also fitted across the board.

The GSR trim builds on this with 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlamps with Dynamic Flow Light, and a premium 12-speaker Yamaha audio system. It adds memory functions for the door mirrors, seats, and steering wheel, alongside front seat lumbar support and a cooled centre armrest.

The range-topping Super Exceed variant introduces the most significant technological upgrades. It is the only trim to feature Mitsubishi's MiPilot Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system, which includes lane keep assist. This variant also gains exclusive rear cross-traffic braking. Mechanically, it is distinguished by its all-wheel-drive system with Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), Active Yaw Control (AYC), hill descent control, and a rear locking differential.

Powertrain and chassis specifications

Every 2027 Pajero variant is powered by the same 2.4-litre 4N16 Gen 2 VGT turbodiesel engine, producing 204 PS and 480 Nm of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that includes steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. The chassis employs a front double-wishbone and a five-link rear suspension setup, with a limited-slip differential as standard.

Interior appointments are generous even on the base model, which includes leather upholstery, an eight-way powered driver's seat, keyless entry and start, and an electric parking brake with auto hold. The GSR and Super Exceed trims further enhance cabin comfort with additions like ambient lighting and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The 2027 Mitsubishi Pajero is expected to be available in approximately 100 global markets following its Thai debut. The model is set to roll out in Thailand this December.
