Nexen Tire Malaysia launches new EV-compatible tyre ranges
Nexen Tire Malaysia has unveiled the N'Fera Primus UX and N'Blue S tyre families, both marked for EV compatibility.

Nexen Tire Malaysia has launched two new tyre models designed for the local market. The N’Fera Primus UX and N’Blue S ranges carry the "EV ROOT" mark, confirming their compatibility with both electric vehicles and conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. Both imported products are engineered for Malaysia's climate, which features frequent rainfall, high temperatures, and long-distance highway travel.
The N’Fera Primus UX is an ultra-high-performance tyre that succeeds the N’Fera SU1. It offers approximately 20% more mileage and a 3% shorter braking distance than its predecessor, alongside a 5% reduction in rolling resistance. Made in South Korea, it uses a reinforced construction for stability at highway speeds and follows a "One Universal Fit" strategy for vehicles from European, Japanese, South Korean, and Chinese manufacturers. It will be available in sizes from 17 to 22 inches in diameter.
The N’Blue S is a touring tyre that replaces the N’Blue HD Plus. It is engineered for wet-weather performance, with a tread pattern designed to channel water away and a construction that lowers rolling resistance for reduced fuel consumption. It provides an 11% shorter braking distance on wet surfaces compared to the model it replaces. Manufactured in China, it is already fitted as original equipment on selected models including the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3. It will be available in Malaysia across 110 sizes spanning 14 to 17-inch rim diameters.
Program and availability details
Both new tyre ranges are covered under the Nexen Tire Exchange Program. This provides six months of unconditional one-to-one replacement against eligible road hazard damage. To activate the coverage, customers must register the tyres at the point of purchase through participating distributors.
Official pricing has not been announced. The new tyres will be available at Nexen's retailers early next year.
Distribution network expansion
Nexen Tire Malaysia aims to grow its dealer network to 100 locations next year. The company will also open its own warehouse in January next year to support distribution. Nexen Tire Malaysia general manager Mark Kim stated the company aims to grow business with its existing dealer partners without competing with them. He confirmed pricing will be maintained despite the upcoming warehousing operations.
The company is developing its own warranty program to strengthen customer support, with details to be announced later. The new tyre ranges will become available at Nexen retailers alongside this expanded dealer network.
