BYD Malaysia launches limited Sealion 7 Performance edition
BYD Cars Malaysia has launched a 16-unit special edition of the Sealion 7 Performance SUV in Hibiscus Red paint, priced at RM197,800.
BYD Cars Malaysia has introduced a limited-run Hibiscus Red exterior color for the Sealion 7 Performance SUV. Only 16 units of this Malaysia Day special edition will be sold, priced at RM197,800.
The special paint, inspired by Malaysia's national flower, is a renaming of the Parkour Red color offered in Singapore. This price represents a RM6,000 reduction from the regular launch price for the 2026-updated Sealion 7 Performance variant.
Powertrain and Performance Specifications
Beyond the exclusive paint, the vehicle's specifications are unchanged from the standard Performance model. It features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain.

The 2026 model year update includes a larger 91.3 kWh Blade LFP battery. This increases the WLTP-rated range to 502 km, up from 454 km offered by the previous 82.5 kWh battery.
Interior and Cargo Features
Inside, the cabin retains its existing layout and technology suite. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is paired with a 15.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen. The Performance variant, like the Premium, includes a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display.
Additional features for this variant include a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system and a hands-free, kick-activated powered tailgate. Connectivity is handled by a 50-watt wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and four USB ports (two front, two rear).
Cargo capacity is rated at 520 liters in the main compartment. With the rear seats folded, this expands to 1,789 liters.
Safety and Driver Assistance Systems
The vehicle is equipped with nine airbags, covering front, side, curtain, and a driver far-side airbag. The safety suite also includes front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system.
Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are comprehensive. They include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking (AEB), and lane departure warning with prevention. Lane keeping assist, front and rear cross-traffic alert, and high beam assist are also part of the package.
