BMW Malaysia adds 50 more CKD units of the 218 Gran Coupe M Sport due to high demand, totaling 100. Prices start at RM192,800 with a 2-year warranty.
BMW Malaysia has announced a second allocation of 50 units for the locally-assembled 218 Gran Coupe M Sport. The move, reported by the company today, follows strong customer demand after the model's launch in July.
This new batch matches the size of the initial allocation, bringing total availability to 100 units. Pricing is unchanged from the launch figures.
Pricing and Warranty Options
The M Sport variant is priced at RM192,800 with a standard two-year warranty. An optional BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package, which adds a four-year extended warranty and service plan, raises the on-the-road price to RM204,800.
This positions the M Sport as RM19,000 more expensive than the 218 Gran Coupe Sport variant under its current limited-time offer. However, the source notes that at the Sport variant's original, non-promotional price, it would actually be more expensive than the M Sport.

Exterior and Interior Specification
The M Sport trim differentiates itself from the Sport model with more aggressive front and rear fascias. A standard Iconic Glow kidney grille enhances the front end.
Exterior details include an M high-gloss Shadowline package with black trim, contrasting with the Sport's satin aluminium. The M Sport rides on 18-inch Y-spoke style 975 M bicolour alloy wheels.
Inside, the M Sport gains a dedicated M leather steering wheel. It also features a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a head-up display, and an anthracite headliner. These items are not fitted to the Sport variant.
Both variants share several features. These include Veganza perforated seat upholstery, sport seats, dual-zone climate control, and powered front seats with a memory function for the driver. A wireless charging tray, ambient lighting, and the Connected Package Professional with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard.
The Live Cockpit Professional system, combining a 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen, is fitted to both cars. Adaptive LED headlamps are shared as well.
Driver Assistance and Mechanicals
On the driver assistance front, the M Sport is equipped with improved 'Plus' versions of systems. It comes with Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Plus.
These packages add several functions over the standard systems on the Sport variant. Key additions include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, steering and lane control assist, and a surround view camera. Remote 3D view, Park Assist Professional, and the BMW Drive Recorder dashcam are also included.
Mechanically, the two variants are identical. Both use a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine producing 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Performance figures are shared, with a 0-100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h. The M Sport variant justifies part of its price premium by featuring Adaptive M suspension as standard equipment.
