The 2027 Hyundai Tucson has been fully revealed, marking the debut of the fifth-generation model. The new Tucson will go on sale in Korea later this year, with other global markets following in 2027.
This new generation introduces a comprehensive redesign and updated powertrain options. It will be offered in both short and long wheelbase variants to suit different regional preferences.

The new Tucson features a larger body, with the long-wheelbase model growing by 60 mm in length, 40 mm in width, and 20 mm in height. The cabin employs a two-layer layout with soft cushioning across surfaces and introduces the Pleos Connect infotainment system. This system is based on Android Automotive OS and pairs a 9.9-inch slim display with a larger primary touchscreen.

Performance and Capabilities
Powertrain options include two four-cylinder petrol engines and two electrified units. The hybrid system combines a 1.6-litre turbo engine with electric motors for a total output of 245 PS and 380 Nm of torque, targeting up to 42 MPG fuel economy and an 8.5-second 0-60 mph acceleration time. The plug-in hybrid variant uses a 107 PS electric motor and a 17.1 kWh battery for an 81 km EV range, supporting 7.2 kW charging.
For enhanced capability, an XRT package offers a bespoke front bumper and skid plate. A more rugged XRT Pro variant adds all-terrain tyres and increased ground clearance. Smart Terrain Assist provides low-speed off-road cruise control.
Availability and Rollout
The world premiere for the new Tucson took place in New York City. Following its Korean launch later this year, a full rollout in North America, Europe, and other global markets will take place from 2027. The vehicle will be available in eight exterior colours, including five new shades, and three new two-tone interior colour schemes.
Refinement has been improved through enhanced sound insulation and aerodynamic tweaks. The cabin offers more space, with rear headroom increased by 29 mm. Triple-zone automatic air conditioning with indirect air blowing is now standard. The new Hyundai Tucson will be rolled out in various markets, including North America, Europe, and Korea.
