A major cloud provider has announced a new data center region purpose built for large scale AI training workloads, distinct from its general purpose cloud regions and designed around higher density power and cooling requirements.
The company said the facility would come online in phases, with initial capacity reserved for its own frontier model training before opening to external customers.
